Keith Wilfong has grown up with a love for the sport. While growing up in Goshen Indiana he regularly attended races at New Paris Speedway, located just a few miles from his parents house, starting at the age of 2 months old. Wanting to race in some form he began doing Demolition Derbies in 1987 and has continued to do so winning many derbies in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Keith has just completed his 21st consecutive year at the Elkhart County Fair Demolition Derby. In 1999 he developed a relationship with Mike Wortinger and Randy Chupp to work on their street stock and late models racing at Kalamazoo Speedway.
Wanting to try some circle track racing in 2000 he built his first full size enduro car. He has raced in numerous full size and 4 cylinder enduros at several race tracks developing a reputation of fair and respectful racing. Wanting more seat time than racing full size enduros could offer Keith decided to build a pure stock. He had worked on building the pure stock during the spring and early summer of 2007. Since he already worked on a late model weekly at Kalamazoo Speedway and had raced hundreds of laps there in enduros he chose to race there with his first race in a weekly class being June 30, 2007 and completing the season at the Supershoe Nationals in September 2007. Never finishing out of the top ten in five points nights, the Pure Stock Open, and the D feature at the Super Shoe Nationals.
